Oriental rugs, beautiful, mystical and at one time thought to be affordable only by the very well to do. That has changed, rugs are being produced and imported from countries other than the traditional rug weaving areas of long ago, and at more affordable prices. Today, consumers recognize the beauty, craftsmanship, and lasting utility of Oriental rugs. Modern Oriental rugs are available in styles, colors, and prices to match any decor or budget. Presumably if you are reading this you have an Oriental rug in your home and you are not sure who to trust to service it. Most will look in the telephone directory for a rug cleaner. What you find are dozens of companies touting to be “experts,” “specialists,” and whatever. It feels like you are working your way through a mine field.

What do you do?  When purchasing real estate the advice is “location,” “location,” “location.” When searching for a company to service Oriental rugs the advice is: “experience,” “experience,” “experience.”

Although most Oriental rugs are handwoven under very primitive conditions using mostly natural materials, the finished rug has many technical variables that must be considered when it is cleaned. Our knowledgeable staff examines each rug to determine: country of origin, the age, the pile content, the weave (type of knot), the foundation material, the dyes, and the general condition of the rug before it is cleaned. Our cleaning process is much the same as used by the weaving facility before it is exported to this country. That is why many Oriental rug importers and retailers either use us to service their rugs or recommend us to their clients.
